Our Specialty Niche

Yemen Coffee | The Birthplace of Coffee Culture

Yemen holds a legendary place in coffee history. As one of the first countries to cultivate and trade coffee commercially, Yemeni beans, especially from the port of Mokha (Al-Makha), helped shape global coffee culture as early as the 15th century. The word “mocha” originates here, referencing both the port and the coffee’s distinctive flavour profile.

Grown Against the Odds

Coffee cultivation in Yemen is a remarkable story of resilience. Despite the country’s arid terrain and challenging conditions, farmers continue to produce some of the world’s most sought-after beans using traditional methods passed down through generations. Each harvest reflects Yemen’s deep-rooted heritage and dedication to quality.
